Just received my walking stick and couldn’t be happier. I was just diagnosed with a form of lymphoma and b4 being released from hospital doctors wanted an evaluation from PT as I had thick blood which caused heavy head and a slight to moderate issue with balance. Ok, more than slight i was holding walls to walk to help with balance. I was asked if I would use a walker – short answer “NO”, would I use a cane – again “NO”. I said I would get a walking stick and so happy it finally arrived. Looks and feels smooth. It is tall 55″, yet grip height for me is comfortable. I am 5’2″. All this started July 24, 2023 and already had 1 round of chemo with 2nd round today. The bad stuff starts in a month. God willing it ends well. My walking stick will help keep me balanced and was a compromise that PT found acceptable. I must give the doctors and staff at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, Massachusetts my heart felt appreciation for the swift diagnosis and the amazing care I received during my stay. My walking stick will be taking this journey with me and providing me with the support I will continue to need. Not just for trails in the woods, but isles in the hospital, the office and any where else I need to go. Better looking than the alternative.

I love my hickory walking stick. It is sturdy and strong, providing good support while at the same time, being light and easy to carry. Because it is basic without any fancy retractable parts, I don’t have to worry about malfunction. I am 5’1.75″ tall and it is perfect for my height, neither too short nor too tall. It is well made and lovely to look at with natural coloring. The surface is smooth and comfortable to hold. I consider it well worth the purchase price.

Having used trekking poles on longer hikes to maintain balance, I know that they are not intended to bear considerable weight over a prolonged period. A sturdy hiking stick, however, can support weight better than trekking poles do. Very happy with the craftsmanship on this product. Mine is made from Hickory wood, and I am glad that I purchased it.

  4. NE Tommy

I’ve had it a couple of months now and i really like it. I use a cane to get around but I find this better to get around the yard when I’m working in the garden. Would recommend

  5. Marlene Hellmann

I like my stick this is my second stick. First one was to fat and to heavy. This one is perfect. I am a 71 year old lady with balance issues. The stick really works.

  6. Tye

The wood is beautiful and the stick is sturdy. I did have to cut it down a few inches, to adjust for my height, but that’s ok, because that’s what they account for when it arrives. The protective cap pops right off and back on once I made the adjustment. I use it all the time for outdoor activity. Since I use a regular medical cane most times when shopping (being a cane is shorter & more compact), when I use this stick, it doesn’t make me feel so self conscious about my disablity. I wrap a bandana around the curved handle portion to absorb palm sweat, and use the lanyard to keep from dropping the stick. I get compliments on this stick.

  7. Angela Wright

This was a gift for my grandson who hikes and walks in the woods a lot. He loves it! It proves stability and studies for physical support and the grip is easy and the strap proves extra support for good grip. It was well worth the cost and I would recommend it to others.

  8. Amazon Customer

This has been a huge plus when walking, hiking, and added support

  9. Z

High quality and beautiful hiking stick. This is the third I’ve bought of this brand, because I end up giving a lot of my hiking sticks away to friends and family who want their own. This one is by far my favorite of them all.

  10. AE

Bought as a gag gift for husband’s 50th. He has a thing for walking sticks, and he put this with his collection. He actually liked it!
